Wire-Free Installation with Virtual Boundaries

The 312V uses satellite-assisted positioning to create virtual mowing areas instead of relying on a physical perimeter cable. This means:

• No boundary wire to install or repair
• No risk of cable damage during gardening work
• Flexible zone adjustments throughout the season
• Clean, modern installation with minimal disruption

All configuration is completed in the Automower® Connect app, where work areas, schedules and temporary stay-out zones can be created and adjusted at any time. From an installer’s perspective, this flexibility is one of the biggest advantages of the system.

Important Requirement: Full Wi-Fi Coverage

For this model to operate correctly, stable Wi-Fi coverage must be available across the entire lawn area. This is essential because the mower receives satellite correction data via the Husqvarna Cloud, enabling positioning accuracy typically better than 5 cm.

Before installation, we always check signal strength across the garden using a smartphone. If coverage is weak, solutions may include:

• Repositioning the home router
• Installing a Wi-Fi range extender
• Upgrading to a Mesh Wi-Fi system

Where Wi-Fi simply is not suitable, there are professional alternatives available:

• Automower® Connect kit for cellular connectivity
• Husqvarna EPOS® RS1 Reference Station, a stand-alone solution requiring no internet and delivering even higher accuracy of around 2–3 cm

These upgrades require professional installation and setup to ensure reliable performance.

AI Vision Technology for Smarter Obstacle Avoidance

The integrated camera system uses AI vision to detect and identify objects on the lawn. This allows the mower to:

The AI system also works in combination with satellite navigation. As long as the mower can visually detect grass, it can maintain accurate mowing patterns, even in areas where satellite signal strength is reduced.

Selectable Mowing Patterns for a Premium Finish

Unlike many traditional robotic mowers, the 312V offers selectable visible mowing patterns through the app.

You can choose from:

• Striped finish
• Checkerboard pattern
• Triangle design

When using structured patterns, the mower supports lawns up to 1,200 m².
For a more traditional robotic “carpet-like” appearance, the irregular pattern mode is available. This is optimised for lawns up to 800 m².

This flexibility allows you to choose between visual precision or classic robotic mowing aesthetics.
