We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice, except as described below. It also does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.

2 Terms & Conditions of Sale

2.1 Scope

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all sales of robot mowers, spare parts, accessories, consumables and related products (“Products”) supplied by Platts Horticulture Group Ltd (“we/us/our”) to any customer (“you/your”), whether purchased following a face-to-face quotation, in-store, or purchased remotely.
Most of our robot mowers are supplied with professional installation; where a Product is supplied on a supply-only basis (without installation), additional provisions in Sections 2.7 to 2.9 apply.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

2.2 Orders and Contract Formation

Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept or refuse it at our discretion.
A contract is formed only when we issue written or electronic confirmation of acceptance.
If we cannot accept an order (for example due to stock or pricing error) any payment taken will be refunded in full.

2.3 Price and Payment

Prices include VAT unless stated otherwise and exclude delivery unless specified.
Payment is due at the time stated in your quotation or at checkout.

We reserve the right to correct any pricing error; you may cancel if you do not wish to proceed at the corrected price.

2.4 Delivery, Risk and Title

Delivery is made to the address you provide.
Risk passes to you on delivery; ownership passes once full payment is received.
Delivery dates are estimates only; if we cannot deliver within 30 days (or any agreed period) you may cancel for a full refund.

2.5 Installation and Setup

Installed sales. Where installation is included in your quotation, we will install and configure the Product.

Supply-only sales. Where installation is not included, you are responsible for installation in line with the manufacturer’s instructions. We provide reasonable remote guidance (see Section 2.6).

We are not liable for damage or performance issues arising from incorrect self-installation, unsuitable garden conditions or use contrary to instructions.

2.6 After-Sales Support and Servicing

We are committed to providing a high standard of after-sales support for all customers.
For customers who purchase locally, on-site service, warranty repair and technical visits may be arranged directly through Platts Robotics.

For customers located further afield, we provide remote assistance by phone and email. In most cases, warranty and repair work are handled on a return-to-base basis, meaning the Product is sent back to us for inspection and repair. Where it is more convenient, you can instead reach out to any dealer within the dealer network for in-person assistance.

In all cases we will advise on the most appropriate route for resolving any technical or warranty issue. Paid servicing is available on request.

2.7.1 Right to Cancel (Change of Mind for Distance Sales)

If you purchase without a face-to-face consultation (for example online or by telephone) you have 14 calendar days from the day after delivery to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • Notify us in writing within that period; you then have 14 days to return the goods.
  • You are responsible for return postage for change-of-mind cancellations.
  • Refunds will be made within 14 days of our receiving the returned goods (or proof of return) using your original payment method.

2.7.2 Condition of returned goods and deductions for use

You may handle the Product only to the extent necessary to assess its nature, characteristics and functioning (as you could in a shop). If the Product has been installed, powered on, mapped, paired or operated on grass, this exceeds inspection and we may deduct an amount reflecting loss of value, up to 100 % if resale as new is impossible. All packaging, accessories and manuals must be returned; missing items may incur deductions. These provisions do not affect rights relating to faulty goods (see Section 2.8).

2.8 Faulty or Mis-described Goods (Consumer Rights Act 2015)

2.8.1 Your legal rights
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. These rights apply automatically in addition to any manufacturer’s warranty.

2.8.2 Fault resolution process
If a confirmed fault is reported within 30 days of delivery, you have the short-term right to reject the goods for a full refund, or you may choose to allow a repair or replacement.
After 30 days (and within six months) we are entitled to provide a repair or replacement before any refund becomes due.
If a repair or replacement is not possible, cannot be completed within a reasonable time, or the same fault re-occurs, you will then be entitled to a refund or appropriate price reduction. Refunds are made using the original payment method within 14 days of agreement.

2.8.3 Proof of fault within six months
If a fault arises within the first six months after delivery, the law presumes that the fault was present when delivered, unless we can show otherwise (for example misuse, external damage or incorrect installation). After six months you may be asked to demonstrate that the fault existed at delivery.

2.8.4 Return costs
For goods found to be faulty or mis-described we will bear reasonable return or collection costs. Where no manufacturing fault is identified, inspection or transport charges may apply.

2.8.5 Exclusions
These rights do not cover wear-and-tear items (blades, batteries etc.), accidental damage, misuse, incorrect installation, flooding, pests or operation in unsuitable conditions such as excessive slopes or poor GPS/RTK signal.

2.9 Warranty and Repair Process

All Products include the manufacturer’s standard warranty.
To initiate a claim:

  1. Contact us with proof of purchase and a description of the issue (photos or diagnostics may be requested).
  2. We will guide you to the best route depending on location and the nature of the fault — either return-to-base to us or contact any dealer within the dealer network for assessment or repair.
  3. Warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover misuse or site-related issues.
  4. Warranty repair or replacement does not extend the original warranty period.

2.9a Spare Parts, Accessories and Consumables

Spare parts, accessories and consumable items (for example blades, cables, batteries and cleaning products) are supplied on a supply-only basis and must be installed or fitted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Such items are covered by the manufacturer’s or our own standard warranty against manufacturing defects only; wear, accidental damage or misuse are not covered.
Where a spare part or accessory proves faulty, we may require return-to-base inspection before issuing a replacement or refund.
Used, fitted or installed spare parts cannot be returned under the 14-day change-of-mind policy unless they are unused and in resaleable condition.

2.10 Product Suitability

Performance figures (area, slope limits etc.) are “up to” values under typical conditions and may vary with obstacles, tree cover or signal quality. When purchasing on a supply-only basis you are responsible for confirming site suitability and following installation instructions. Reduced performance from garden layout or conditions does not mean the Product is faulty.

2.11 Software and Connectivity

Some Products require app pairing, firmware updates or network connectivity provided by you. We are not responsible for connectivity or coverage issues beyond our control. Diagnostic data may be used only for troubleshooting and warranty.

2.12 Returns Procedure (All Returns)

2.12.1 Contact us before sending anything back. We will issue instructions and return address details.

2.12.2 Pack goods securely for return.

2.12.3 Packaging and Transit Responsibility
You must pack goods securely. You are responsible for any loss or damage resulting from inadequate packaging or handling until the goods are collected or received by us. Where we arrange collection for a verified or suspected fault, you must still take reasonable care to pack the goods safely. If damage occurs in transit because of poor packaging, we may reduce any refund or charge for repair to reflect that damage.

Unauthorised or unnotified returns may be refused.

2.13 Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or issues arising from self-installation, unsuitable conditions or misuse. Our total liability per contract is limited to the price paid for the relevant Product(s).

2.14 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control including extreme weather, transport disruption or supply-chain issues.

2.15 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically; the version in force at the time of your order applies. The “Last updated” date appears above.

2.16 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

2.17 Contact Us
